On 22nd July 2022 NMVC were in concert at St Michael’s Church with Maesteg Gleemen Male Voice Choir and Soprano Soloist Karen Hurn in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance. The event was a wonderful evening of Cornish and Welsh voices and songs, with a very entertaining contribution from Karen.

Newquay Male Voice Choir gave their first performance since 4th March 2020 on the Killacourt on Sunday 8th August 2021. In glorious sunshine the choir assembled on the newly refurbished bandstand to entertain an audience of locals and visitors with a range of their most popular pieces. The choir expressed their gratitude to Lane Theatre, Newquay, for their hospitality in allowing the choir to practise outdoors in their carpark for the last three months, allowing them to prepare for this momentous outing.

In June 2021 the choir elected Roy Truscott as its Honorary Vice-President. 93 year old Roy, one of our top tenors,  was one of the original members of the choir when it reformed in 1974, and has served the choir well for almost 50 years.

Members of the choir sang a selection of songs for Roy and the other residents of Pemberthy Care Home, Newquay, where Choir Chairman John Rhodes presented the certificate to Roy.
